SLI gtx 570 or not bother? - Page 2

Do it! I love my two 570's. Sometimes I accidently disable SLI, and in SLI enabled games you really do notice the differnce. It'll give you the choice down the road to use Nvidia surround too (three of the same monitors as one giant res).

No, you won't get a bottleneck. My CPU is at stock.

i7 920 is still a beast. I know newer Sandy's can make original i7s look obsolete but don't worry about it .

Yeah, you've got it in one. Looking at SBs; I can't believe i7 920 is already considered an old cpu! Feels like yesterday that I bought it. May have to change it up when ivy bridge gets here. There goes another 500 pounds plus.

There's 2 newer Sandy's, on the 2600K can hold a candle to I7 920 and even then the difference is marginally there.

really? When i look at people's posts with sandies, their oc is massive. 5 ghz and so forth. Is it only the unlocked k models that can get to that sort of frequency.

you mean BF3... there's been no announcement of BFBC3... (people gotta know there's a difference between the two!)

Woops, yeah, bf3.

K series would be nice, but ivy bridge promises to do some grand things. SO perhaps best to wait, rather than jump on the bandwaggon.
