Those speakers are only $439 at sonic. wink.gif

This guy is absolutely no different than any other local shop. They're expensive and overpriced. He definitely picked out some nice equipment, but he's overcharging for it.

Get a GOOD head unit in there first. Something in the $160-200 price range at the very least. I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if you already have this done.

Focal speakers are great. So are Image Dynamics. There's a ton of great quality sounding speakers out there for less than $400. And I certainly wouldn't recommend matching amps just because of the brand name.

I'd say:
Good head unit
Focal components up front (or Image Dynamics).
Sundown 2 or 4 channel ampllifier (depends if you want to amp the rears later or not)
Cheaper version of your fronts for the rears
2ga amp kit from the front to the trunk, upgrading the Big 3 to 1/0 while you're at it.

Future:
Sundown 1000w-1200w monoblock amplifier
Fi Q 12 sealed

That would be one of the best sounding setups you could possibly go for. smile.gif

For $500 for an amplifier....dude look at Sundown Audio.

For $800 for a subwoofer, look at a single Fi Q, and a Sundown 1000w monoblock.

Your ears will thank me.

I have an Eclipse deck that I love. I also have a pair of CDT components, can't be beat for the $$.
I'll be soon purchasing a JL XD500/3 to power the comps up front and a single old school Kicker 10" sub.

Focal makes good speakers, but listen to them first. Some find them harsh.
