Patriot Memory VS G.Skill

Thread Starter
I am looking at getting these Kits.

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 1600 F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM 8-8-8-24- $76

OR

Patriot Viper Xtreme Series, Division 2 Edition 8GB 1600 PXD38G1600LLK 8-9-8-24- $67 PLUS there is a $20 MIR, so $47 AMIR.

Is there any real disadvantage with P.M over G.Skill? (Performance wise.)

Thank you, very much for the help.

P.S YES, I know my system is DDR2 and I NEED 8GB

When it comes down to situations like these, I'd say it's more about warranty. I've never heard anything bad about Patriot, but on the other hand, I've only heard good things about G.Skill.

To answer your question though... I don't think there is any real disadvantage with the Patriot memory.

I personally have used Patriot memory before on a couple systems, and had no problems with it...i'm not saying it's better or worse, but in my limited experiences i've had no problems with it, and i've never heard anyone speak ill of it either...

At ONOZ I don't know why but your Avatar annoys me. Adblock FTW.

Thank you.

I primarily use G.Skill and it hasn't done me wrong yet.
