Looking For Free/Cheap Multiplayer Games

Thread Starter
Hey, OCN.

I've recently been playing Terraria with a friend, but we've pretty much defeated every boss and obtained the majority of the rare items. Thus, we're looking for a new game to play, however, his laptop isn't the most powerful system. (No Minecraft, please! It's lacking the RPG elements which made Terraria as interesting as it did. I'm also aware of the upcoming "adventure update," but who knows when that shall come out.)

As far as I know, he has a dual-core Intel chip (likely a C2D), alongside an "Intel HD Graphics" integrated chip. Any sort of game similar to Terraria would be welcomed, but we wouldn't mind something different, like Trackmania, although that's gone sharply downhill since the game is practically forcing players to purchase it, or tolerate something similar to in game-ads.

Additionally, we've both made OMGPOP accounts, tried most of their games, and often play draw my thing while Skyping and intentionally draw the wrong things just to aggravate some of the other players .

In short, we'd like some low-requirement game recommendations!

Thanks!

You should try some Team Fortress 2 its a pretty awesome game and really fun especially when you play it with friends. And it doesn't require that much hardware either considering it runs on the source engine.

+1 for TF2, it's an awesome game. At least give it a try since it's free.

I know that you said that you aren't interested in minecraft but there are tons of mods out there that allow for npc's, leveling up skills, shops, trading and more (the most notable RPG style server is called buxville if you want to take a look at it). Everyone that I know slams it until they get it, as soon as you try it then you're hooked. And it's tons of fun to build random stuff with friends.

Eh, maybe it's an option. I played it for about 3 minutes, got a kill, and then got killed once. Never really gave it a chance.

I looked at a short video on youtube and I'm not entirely sure it's enough like terraria to justify buying 2 copies of Minecraft, as neither of us actually own it, but have played it previously.

Are there any co-op puzzle solvers? Anything similar to Portal?

You might like Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

Edit
It might not run on an intel intergrated GPU.
