On the other foot, I would have gotten express permission from the mod creators OR created a site that ONLY links to qhimm, not posting the mods...

Mod creators are sensitive. Id want to KILL this guy if he had my stuff posted.

You seem OVERLY sensitive to this subject so I'm just going to drop it and leave you in rage mode.

Ok PitBrat organized his tutorial weird, I think hes young, but he is very accurate.

I know this will look like a lot of work. It will prolly take you 30 minutes to do, but it is totally worth it. All mods work together, there is just a certain order you have to follow with files modifying the games kernel because copying one kernel over another will effectively destroy the changes to the previous kernel.

http://forums.qhimm.com/index.php?to...6320#msg166320

The links are all provided in the list at the beginning of the post. They are on the right and tagged "qhimm"

Follow his instructions and report back to me with any problems, it takes a while to become a qhimm member due to a mod having to accept your registration.

Nah, as mentioned, they already went over 9000. It seems that no one remembers the Radeon 7000, 8000 and 9000 series... even less, the 10000 series, where 10 became X - X800, then a huge shift to X1x00, then dropping the X for HD for the 2000 series, 3000, 4000, 5000 and to the current 6000 series.

ATi/AMD aren't very imaginitive when it comes to numbering systems.

...

Yes, I've played FFVII with mods; Quimm is a brilliant resource, although it can take some tweaking to get everything working painlessly.

Let me make this clear to everyone
qhimm does 95% of mod development for ff7.

Thats were the mods are developed among the community and released.

Other sites you find on google are just hot linking to files if anything.

again qhimm

Mods work great together, but its not a double click type thing.

Hi Jeffdamann,

When I created the site I did request permission to link to the mods. Every single modder has been stated and given credit to, and in my Blogroll, you will see links to Qhimm and every other relevant site pertaining to the game.

I have done nothing illegal; if anything I've helped Qhimm out by acting as a buffer to noobs who do not know how to use forums and how to mod. Do you know how many people message me on a weekly basis asking for help. I even took the liberty of creating step by step mod tutorials.

People all over the world thank me for actually bothering to provide them with easy to understand guides on how to Mod so that they too can enjoy the games. This has raised an awareness and I hope, will contribute to SE realizing that there is still a demand for this game, which may ultimately urge them to remake the game.

Are you saying it's illegal to link to the forums where it can be downloaded, but it's not illegal to download them and re-upload them with your own twists. Just because my site actually ranks no.1 for the keyword Final Fantasy 7 PC and therefore has been found by people looking to play this wonderful game all over again, does not mean that there are not other sites claiming the mods to be their own, or even modifying the mods without consent from the original creator.

So before you start saying that my site is illegal, and I did not get consent please do your due diligence. I am a fan much like any other, and I contributed in whatever way I could.

My site is there to help people, not rob them.

Oh, and come and Kill me.... lmao. Seriously, grow up dude. We live in an age where billion dollar companies are trying to stop people from torrenting and file sharing their **** and here you are crying about me linking to Qhimm and crediting each and every modder and that's still not good enough? Get a grip.

OMG dude, you come in here protecting yourself? Lemme post some more from QHIMM.

4. No, we didn't give permission.
5. The link is still in the thread title.

If you want to "help" and "raise awareness" Join qhimm and get freaking permission you fool. I have been preparing to do a lets play: ff7 hardcore, but I was NOT going to do it without EXPRESS WRITTEN CONSENT of my fellow modders, which I now have.

Dont get me wrong. Your site is OK at best. You basically linked to the mods and thats all. If you want to do the FF7 community proud, I suggest you aplogize to the owners of the mods and see if you can get permission to post the data. If qhimm allowed you to do this your site would be linked on the forums, which it is not. Not only that, the forum DESTROYS any links to your site, because the mods know whats up with you.

We would be glad to work with you, we arent asshats. But noone appreciates what you have done(in the way you went about it) If you had taken the proper steps, I would not only congratulate you, but I would send tons of traffic to your site on a DAILY basis.

My point is you went about it the wrong way, and you are still defending your action and making (PROVEN)false statements to defend yourself. Admit you have done wrong and try to fix this, or be a d-bag.....If you continue to be a d-bag there are members that can Ddos your site so....Do you want it to go down or what?

EDIT: I also just perused your site, you have OLD INCOMPATIBLE OBSOLETE MODS(9999 limit breaker, Clouds NAILBAT, LGPtools(what a freaking fool, this program is HELLA BUGGY, you obviously have read NO INFO on qhimm and just linked to it out of stupidity, your supposed to use Aali's LGP/unLGP.....

So your arguement saying you are "providing assistance" to Noobs is false, unless your trying to give them effed assistance on incompatible buggy programs and mods....
