Before you act like the all-knowing expert, do some research yourself: the reason it needs a 3 core and higher CPU is because the 360 has a triple core CPU with 6 threads.

That, and in DirectX 9 mode, there is no anti-aliasing available. That's a joke to be honest, especially for a game released in 2010. It's a 100%, slightly above average, console port.

The Frostbite engine generates over 30+ threads, it doesn't matter what you are playing on, it's able to take advantage of more cores than what just the consoles supply.

It doesn't necessarily "need" 3+ cores; I played on a 3Ghz dual core for some time, although it sucked. However, if you have a powerful enough GPU, it will take advantage of 6+ cores.

Don't be so condescending, you are looking like that "all knowing expert" you just spoke about.

Other "console ports" ONLY use 2 or 3 cores (ie. Mass Effect 1 & 2). The fact that BFBC2 can use more than that should speak a lot to you about the engine.

The videos you 2 have posted are already down/private.

Quad core? Expected as much. Expecting to run a 64 player match on a dual core is laughable. *Maybe* the Sandy i3s/heavily overclocked i3 5xx.

Except it's not quite the same engine. Although I agree with you in principle. If anything, it will be even more-threaded as opposed to less. I wouldn't be surprised to see it perform best on 6-8 core chips.

You have yet to explain why in DX9 there was no AA available, and how that doesn't make it a console port. At least Mass Effect had an excuse, as it runs on the Unreal Engine.
