Post up your rig, please.

Just for your reference:

That's six cores and a 2 maxed GPU's.
I can't post any screenshots now, as I'm on a laptop now thanks to a dead PSU, but here are/were the specs:

Phenom X4 9550
4GB DDR2 RAM
780G motherboard
GTX 460 768MB
XP/Vista

Card was constantly switching between low-power 3D clocks and default full speed clocks. With around 20% or less GPU usage. On Vista it used about 30%-40% with forced AA and DX11, but often stuttered when going below 20%.

You have to be Battlefield Veteran, too. And must be very lucky. And this is only for the ALPHA Trial, I guess you'll have more fun later on with the BETA.

That sounds about in-line with what I've heard with other Nvidia cards.

I'm very surprised there was never a fix found for it...

I'm assuming you are on the latest drivers as well?

Yep, was on latest drivers. The closest I got to fixing it was by forcing crazy levels of AA on top of in-game AA, however that made the stuttering much worse as it still eventually dropped in GPU usage, causing a freeze lag, the worst kind there is IMHO, as opposed to the standard low-FPS stutter.

Is the true the same for when you were on Vista as well? Or does the problem go away with DX10?

Ah yes, I'm sure the i3's do much better than my C2D + 5770 set-up I had.

Man, you get 30+ with that, eh? I was working my C2D hard and it felt very choppy and inconsistent. It was probably around 30fps, but it did not in any way feel smooth.

But we also have to remember that this is going from Frostbite 1.5 (BC2) to Frostbite 2.0 (BF3); I really wouldn't be surprised if it brought your i3 to where your C2D was.

But, I suppose we'll have to find out.

With DX10/DX11 stutter was still there, it just used the GPU a bit more, since I could use in-game Anti Aliasing and it was using a slightly more demanding API.

Well the i3 done a really impressive job tbh, I was not expecting to play it that well with just 2 cores but it worked really well

But the system req barrier does need to be lifted on BC2 coz my mate who played it with a similar laptop but C2D 2ghz could get only 25 FPS max and that was at the lowest possible system req's including smaller res hack, This is based in MP btw so it may be different to play in SP

Also on his same laptop he did run MOH 2010 MP 1366x768 med at 40+ worked at 50+ high on my laptop same res
