Where to Buy XArmor U9BL-S Keyboard - Page 6

Oh no. I was just starting to look into getting the U9BL-S. If this is true, then I am crushed. I have been thinking about that board almost since Phaedrus2129 did his review on the ones he got.

Now I have to either wait, or just look for another option. I am going to check out the ducky shine.

Yup, it seems AramediA's the only one who still has some in stock, and they know it.

Another one just sold, 8 left...

Just received my keyboard today (ahh, Amazon). I'm typing on it now. It's pretty nice. I can see that it's going to take a little getting used to being that I've been typing on crappy keyboards for so long. I must admit that I sort of expected more noticeable feedback. I guess that's from my long ago experience with IBM clicky keyboards. People say that clicky keyboards are more satisfying, but I wanted something quieter. Anyway, I'm sure I'll grow to enjoy typing on this and to loath typing on my keyboard at work.

One disappointment so far: it doesn't seem to work with my Black Box ServSwitch KVM. Any ideas? Am I gonna have to bite the bullet and switch to USB?

So centralcomputers apparently has an ETA of mid-september for the U9BL-S and it said that on the product URL, but now they have completely pulled it from the site. At this rate it looks like I'll be getting the Ducky Shine in Browns. I just hope they start shipping them soon. I'm starting to tire of the wait.

Yeah, I wonder if they are going to produce anymore at all. Ione will probably do so. The question is how long will it take? It looks like they are going to lose out on a lot of customers to Ducky.

Surely they are busy to fulfill the Qpad/Tesoro/Stellar orders, clearly tose keyboards sold better than expected.

Wow, yeah, navigating to product id 79738 now just gives you a different keyboard recommendation and a version of their homepage. Maybe they pulled the product info to stop places like Google Products from linking to them until the next shipment comes in? (One can only hope, I suppose.)
Amazon's down to 5.

I thought about trying the brown switch U9BL-S, and I've already tried the blue switch. It's just that I am not paying 179 for the board. I am already fairly sure based on my experience with reds that the browns will be "at best OK". I would prefer a red switch over a brown for sure.

But, definitely at 135 this board was a great deal. I just couldn't stand the blue switch during late night hours, and it turned out mine was defective as well. It seems that Xarmor had some quality control issues, and that's why they went out of business. My wrist rest didn't work on mine at all.

It MUST be the U9BL-S? The U9W is wireless with brown switches, no backlighting for less than $100 on Newegg.

Alas, poor Xarmor! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite
jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath bore me on his wristrest a
thousand times, and now how abhorr'd in my imagination it is!
My gorge rises at it.

Well, not THAT well. I never bought one. Maybe a Ducky Shine Tenkeyless.
