Crossfired 5870m potential issues

I recently purchased an Alienware M17x with 2 5870m's in crossfire, and for some reason, I can't even come close to maxing out StarCraft 2, which is a relatively low-graphics game. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a few diagnostic tools or routines I could perform in order to possibly remedy this.

I noticed in GPU-Z that one of my cards is running at PCI-E 2.0, and the other reports 1.1. Would this cause an issue? If so, how is this fixed?

its actually a very high graphics game. What is the cpu in there? You could be running at only 2 cores which could easily be your benchmark there.
