Very unstable computer

Thread Starter
Hello

First of all, I just want to say sorry for my bad English.

I have this computer with i7 920, Asus P6T deluxe v2, GTX 295, Corsair RAM etc.
Its also a little overclocked with auto voltage. Its clocked to 3,2ghz so not alot and the temps are OK for air cooling.

Anyway, problem is, this computer runs very unstable. If I play BF:BC2 the grapics sometimes turn completly blurry or it flashes black spots etc. Also,
when computer goes into sleep mode, I cant start it back up again...

Anyone have suggestions what can be wrong?

Srry if i posted in wrong part of forum

Sounds like your GTX 295 might be dying... Download OCCT and do a GPU test with error checking enabled

Every forum i read about OC'ing talks about tweaking voltage, so i'm wondering if auto voltage is messing with your overclock?

What's the bios on your motherboard?

I'd suggest turning off the overclock for now, flashing the bios up to the most recent one, and clean/reinstall graphic drivers. See if the instability goes away.

Failing that, a windows reinstall will probably solve the problem.

First go to this Asus site: http://support.asus.com/download/opt...x?SLanguage=en

Click on select manually, and fill out the corresponding boxes, leading to your motherboard.

Your going to be searching for the latest bios release thats NOT a beta version.

Download it to a USB drive

Once downloaded, leave the USB drive plugged into your computer, and reboot, and enter your bios.

In your bios there should be a Update Bios utility, or Flash Bios utility.
Using this utility, point it to your USB drive and proceed with the update/flash.

Hope that helps.

Edit:
Well crap, nevermind! lol
