It got rated as a 8,1/10 so it's not a bad PSU but it ain't great either. It's mostly a value one.

Should be fine with your spec but i personally stay away from that no name psu. Get a corsair tx for very cheap and have peace of mind

Yeah, but that was 2007. Things have actually changed quite a bit since then.

By today's standards, that PSU is kind of a junker. It is strictly a 550W peak-rated power supply. Its +12V capacity is only 400W, and I'd imagine that its power delivery is not clean enough and stable enough for today's systems (even yours, hardcore_7).

All I can say is this: it has enough power for your system, but do not overclock anything at all.

I would upgrade the PSU as well, your system deserves better IMO.

Are you planning any other upgrade other than the GPU?

Otherwise the great people here can recommend (if you furnish your PSU budget and want to purchase one of course) a PSU for your needs.

Also don't breathe too heavily as it might get the PSU mad - lol!

I wouldn't trust that PSU period, no offense.

+1 to this ^^

quality psu's that would supply ample power for your system are nearly everywhere for some very attractive prices. your psu should never be a place where you sacrifice quality. add up your wattage as well and after leaving a bit of headroom, pick one that doesnt supply 400w more than you'll need or have some silly features you'll never use.
