TeamViewer Remote Audio Streaming

Thread Starter
I noticed today that TeamViewer 6 supports VoIP but not remote audio streaming. So here is my ingenious solution to that little problem.

Yes, that is my headset microphone that is bent up and shoved between the headphones. This does actually work, but the quality is understandably bad. Does anyone know of a better way to accomplish this?

You could use the stereo mix thing on the video card, so that instead of going through a mic you don't lose the quality there. You could also setup a shoutcast stream with winamp and tune to that.

If you want to stick to TeamViewer, Stereo Mix should do the trick.
Right click the volume icon, Recording Devices, and then right click the list of devices. Make sure that disabled and disconnected devices are both ticked.
Then set Stereo Mix as your default device.

What that will do is send everything your speakers output directly back into your microphone input without having to use real speakers or microphones. So in theory, the audio should be perfect.
