The physical drive the game is stored on doesn't actively draw textures in the game.

That would be attributed most likely to the options "LOD Distance", which determines to what degree textures are rendered relative to their distance from the camera, and "Texture Memory Size", where if you have it set to the highest setting you may be slowing the rate at which your VRAM can render the environment, so try dropping it back to large or medium, or lower still. Experiment with these and you may see less pop-in.

Good call I was messing with the LOD Distance but forgot about the memory size.

Edit: Nah, It's probably just me looking for it... Changing memory size didn't seem to make a difference.

With patch 1.2, you can edit the user.ini to enable widescreen, works good. Looks like I'm gonna have to reinstall, cuz 1.3 bites. It just keeps overwriting my ini, and the configurator bah, lame.

Also this site has some good ini configs to use.

The problem with Ubersampling (at least for me) was that I would get HORRIBLE GPU usage issues with it turned on. Like, 30% usage. So I've no doubt that my cards are CAPABLE of doing it with a good framerate if they could just make it actually USE the full capacity of my cards. So ... are you guys getting decent GPU usage with Uber on?

BTW, is this patch like 9GB like the previous two (i.e. they replace the entire game)?

Yeah I'm there and have edited that file before. I don't see a widescreen=1 or 0 though. I used the configurator to adjust my resolution of course but it just blacks out the 2 side screens. I can see the fraps numbers on the left one though
