Success/horror stories of Silverstone cp05 backplanes?

So, I was thinking of ordering a bunch (4?) of these hotswap "backplanes" to stick in my FT-02.

But those add a non-negligible amount of cable clutter, no?

One reviewer on amazon mentioned that he cut the cables of his cp05s and connected them, which would certainly save some clutter vs. the daisy-chained-molex approach.... That sounds ideal...

So. Who here has got a few of these? Who loves 'em? Who hates 'em? Who has pics of his/her rig with a handful of these in it? I wanna see 'em.

Holy f$ck. That's a win, alright. Goddamn spectacular.
...and miiiiiiles outside my range of abilities.

Certainly is proof of concept, though: evidently it is possible to wire these things up elegantly.

yes, it does work. i installed 4 them all into my hdd cage on my RV02-E. works like a charm, but the cables are kind of long so you gotta do some cable management.

totally worth it in my opinion...all the screw holes lines up without issues also to the hdd cage.
