So I just bought a GTX480 Lightning

Thread Starter
As above youll probably know I just bought a GTX480 lightning. I got it for $330 while I was gonna buythr asus gtx570 for $412 (I changed the prices to USD as I am from Singapore ) , not sure if you guys thinks it's s good deal but I feel it was.

But I also bought a HX750 psu , I'm just wondering if that'll be enough to run it?

And anything else I should worry about?

Thanks

A 750w psu will run the 480 just fine. And it's a good brand. You'll be good. Just make sure you have good airflow going on in your case

Awesome card there and I'd pick that one over the 570 for sure.

Price is nice too. You only need a quality 550w psu for one 480, so the HX750 is a bit overkill.

Still a nice psu though.

Water cool it if you want a killer OC on it.

Otherwise good move, I decided to go with a 480 myself since it had a bit more VRAM, and I couldn't be happier with my decision - some of my games use in excess of 1.2GB of it.

Yup you're absolutely fine. I have that same PSU and had a GTX480 for a while before I recently sold it.

If you have high ambients then you're going to want to keep your card as cool as possible, they do tend to get hot.

I might be interested in water cooling but that's the next step , the 480 seems on par with the 570 plus it's got3 years warranty (2 years and 7 months left) , so if I get good temps I might OC it or run then OC it for BF3
