[SWTOR] The Old Republic Pre-Order Available - Page 4

Just got the CE, I'm way too much of a Star Wars and Bioware fan too resist. I even got my pre-order code from Amazon before the purchase confirmation email, lol (by a couple of minutes).

Throughout this game's development I've tried to convince myself that I don't have time to play an MMO, let alone start a new one. I told myself that the gameplay looks way too similar to every other MMO, and this one will be no different.
Then I remembered that this is a Star Wars game. I instantly overcame months of convincing and pre-ordered. I'm sorry, but screenshots of stormtroopers (or whatever their ancient equivalents are) were too overwhelming.
Bioware has only disappointed me once before, let's hope that was a fluke.

Anyone know if they announced when they will start the open beta for pre-order codes?

I believe in the FAQ section they say that people who ordered boxed copies will have access to the downloadable client.

I am assuming registering the code they give you for early entry will allow for that as they said it is applicable to both boxed and digital copies...

I played the beta quite a bit. Not worth $15 a month.

There are a lot of factors that are different. If 10 million people subscribe to SWTOR I will eat my hat. I'm betting it will barely get a tenth of that number. The biggest difference is time, if the situation was reversed and SWTOR came out when WoW did and WoW was coming out now, the situation would be the opposite I think.
