bestbuy has a pretty badass deal on the kindle 3g. It's $140 and you get a $30 giftcard.

I have the kindle 3 and it is amazing. one of the best things I have ever gotten myself. Amazon has great deals on books as well and the online store through kindle is very nice. It's the best rated ereader out there so I would recommend it hands down.

i have a 3g nook. it seems to me that the epub format is a major advantage for the nook.

I bought a Nook. It rules. It is way better than the Kindle or anything else. Free books for the win.

Any reason why it's better than the kindle? Have you used one before?

Just curious... my brother wants an e-reader for his birthday so I went to Barnes & Noble to check out the nook. It was okay but the touchscreen was laggy and the menu seemed a bit complicated. Also every review says the kindle is better (better screen, better menu etc) so just wondering why you think the nook is way better.

Also, I like the kindle special offer edition since it gives you pretty badass deals at amazon. I got a $10 giftcard for buying a $1 book the other day. Last week I got a $25 off $50 coupon code. It's been pretty nice.

One more thing... it's really easy to get free ebooks on the kindle. Just gotta convert epub to mobi which takes like 1 second.

I bought a Nook and haven't looked back. The battery life is AMAZING (weeks between charges).
