Hmmm, lots to think about here. Making me think that I don't know enough to build a computer. Losing confidence.

I'm also in the process of building a new pc. I'm kind of going through the same process as you, asking for help on which parts are good. Lol were basically on the same budget as well. What will you be using the pc for?

Earth to people who suggest at Newegg: read the original post

Notice the use of the pound (£) symbol!?
Yeah Newegg doesn't apply here

Jag's suggestion appears to be the first on a proper British site, however i'm not a fan of the motherboard choice the 880GM-UD2H (not 880GMA) has an older lower end VRM system not suitable for the 125W+ processor range.
The M4A88T-M sells for similar price on that site and will provide you with a much better VRM system to begin with and it may be more overclocking suited if you ensure it is cooled when you do decide to OC on a 955.

Fairly high spec gaming and just general personal use.

Ok, so if I got with that motherboard, a 955 and 4GB RAM, what would be a suitable power supply if I was to get a GTX 460 in future and to start thinking about OCing my PC? Also, whenever the Bulldozer comes out, is it just gonna be for AM3+?

No, but we're recommending products, not prices. I'm sure there are places to buy similar products in the UK.

Good catch, I actually saw the board on scan then looked at Newegg to see specs to check VRM's, but I was looking at a GMA on the egg.
