GTX 580 high Idle Temp

Thread Starter
Im having a high idle temp of 60C. there are no programs running and 0-2% gpu usage. i looked on cpu-z and its current state is the regular 3d state(full power) but its suppose to be on the default state when there is nothing using the gpu. is there any reason why it isn't switching?

idle temps don't usually matter. but if it seems like a driver issue.

i would first reinstall drivers. then hopefully that'll fix it. what are your load temps?
