Thread Starter
im trying to squeeze what little life my setup has until i have enough to upgrade to the newer i5/7 processors, so im trying my hand at overclocking.
right now i have my e6750 @ 3.2 stable w/ 10 hours of prime95, 1.35v with 1600fsb. memory timing is 4-4-4-12, 2.1v at 800. does this look right? should i be able to go higher? thanks for any help!

Welcome to OCN! Please go into your user control panel and add your systems. The once you want to show will then be listed in your signature like mine.

You should be able to go higher, but what are your temps like under load?

Yes, increase your core clock to 3.3GHz and see if it passes stability. If not, use the smallest bump in vcore and re-test. Find the stable voltage for that clock and try for another 100MHz next. Watch your temps. You should stop if it approaches 70C.

EDIT: One more thing. Max voltage is kinda up to you. There is no magic limit, but don't exceed 1.50v. 24/7. I personally would not exceed 1.45v on that chip.

tried your suggestion, upped FSB to 1650, 3.3ghz, ran the voltage incrementally up to 1.5v, couldnt even post. but 3.2 at 1.35v is very stable.
here are my settings:

Try the next smallest VTT voltage bump and try again. If it still does not work, increase the VTT again and retest.

Watch temps like a hawk once you get into windows and start running stability tests.

You might get up to 3.5GHz out of it.

just tried upping the vtt voltage, stock is 1.45 and i only has 1.50 and 1.55 left as options, so i tried upping to 1.50 and then upping the vcore voltage, still no luck, havent been able to even boot. at 1650fsb. maybe its the firmware? everybody seems to say the 1301 revision is the best for this motherboard, but this was 3 years ago..
