GTX560 Ti question

Thread Starter
i've been looking thru GTX 570 posts , etc.

been more of a downside on the GTX 570 , more than ever.
i was going to go with a B-Stock GTX 570 with 90-day warranty for $249.99.

while looking thru GTX 5xx series posts throughout the forums, GTX 560 Ti's have been on the upside.

a brand new GTX 560 Ti's would be around $250-ish.
looking a lot better than a GTX 570 with only 90-day warranty.

these are my options

EVGA
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130610

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130651

ASUS
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121425

MSI
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127565

with tax + maybe (shipping)

it would cost roughly around the same price as a B-Stock GTX 570 from EVGA. with lifetime or 3 year warranty rather than 3 months or 90 days.

SLI : Yes , will get a pair of 560Ti's if things look good.

what do you guys think?

I like EVGA myself, but all those cards are good! However, your motherboard does not support SLI. You would need SLI Hack which does have a performance decrease associated with it and Nvidia is all over the sites trying to kill SLI Hack. SLI Hack currently supports the most recent drivers, but who knows what the future holds for it.

Honestly, the best setup right now would be SLI 460's, if you get them on sale you'll have the same performance as a single 580 and you can get them for the price of a single 570.

If you must pick a 560 Ti I'd get the card in my sig.

yes, i'm aware that my board will need a SLI hack , but i was not aware that there was a performance decrease when the SLI hack is applied. do you or anyone know how much performance is decreased ?

i prefer Nvidia over ATI . i've looked at the HD6870's . not really my likings . and the HD6950's are not attractive. been looking more at Nvidia cards than ATI to be honest.
due to the fact that I like EVGA .

i'm trying to be proof myself for about 1-2 years only. for i will be cutting my budget majorly to save up for something big for a year or two, hence the reason why I'm looking to proof myself for the time my budget is cut for any spending.

the MSI Twin Frozr run cooler when OC'd than the EVGA cards?

how well does the EVGA SOC card cool when OC'd ?
the 1 fan EVGA SOC vs the 2 fan EVGA SOC ?
1 fan is lifetime vs 2 fan is 3 year

and MSI Twin Frozr is 3 year as well

3 year warranty is well enough before another upgrade right ?

If you want something good, with low temps, low noise and excellent performance, go with the MSI TF or ASUS DirectCU II

+1

didnt know that the MSI and ASUS cards run with lower temps and noise.

lower temps and noise is a good +
with excellent performance.

does that mean the EVGA cards run a little hotter and produces more noise than the ASUS and MSI cards?

2x SLI maybe a 3% decrease. I had to see if you had 2 x16 slots.

3x or 4x SLI would be more like 10%.

The SLI hack makes your 16x PCIe lanes run at 8x. The third and forth card would be in x8 slots and would run at x4.

My x8 slots run at x4 so I was a little sad when I could not benchmark near 2x SLI 460's on SLI boards.

EDIT: Benchmarks are not gaming. I run everything max, so you will be able to also.
