iPhone sync issues only after overclocking.

Thread Starter
The only instability I've found after overclocking is my iPhone will not sync. I can see it as a Windows folder and copy pictures but iTunes will not see the phone. iTunes freezes up for 2 to 3 minutes but the phone never shows up. The issue is 100% repeatable. I go back to factory settings and the sync works.

Has anyone ever seen this type of problem or have any idea what BIOS settings I should play with to resolve?

Thanks,

Gnomaana

Run P95 and see if your oc is stable.

I had the same issue with my overclocked 2500k and it's stable in P95 but my iPhone wouldn't sync. Plugged it into a different USB port and it synced just fine!

Ive run p95 for about 12 hours with no issues.

I tried every USB port on my machine. When it is overclocked the phone will show up in iTunes about 1 out of every 30 or 40 tries. With factory settings it shows up every time. frown.gif

without the cable plugged in, perform a hard reset , hold the home and power button until you see the apple logo. This will NOT erase anything, your basically restarting the phone. If that doesn't work, then retore the phone.

Why would he have to even do a hard reset/restore the phone if it works fine on a non-overclocked system vs a overclocked system. It's obviously not the phone.

I've done all of this. I've ruled out the phone. It works 100% of the time when I'm not overclocked and it works on my kids laptop and my parents desktop. The only time it fails is if I connect it to my machine while it is overclocked.
