I am just posting in this thread as a placeholder to say that I am outraged and indignant and boycotting DICE and death to EA and this game sucks etc. etc.

Now just give me a few hours and I'll come back here and post some reasons after a furious Google search session.

Knifing someone is NOT an easy feat, first of all, if I have a weapon in hand, and I see you coming, that stuff is NOT going to work...

Even if you are up close on an enemy, you cannot kill them in a split second, a precise blow requires precise aim! Knifing at best should be a slow attack and it should requires that your aim is correct, because knifing a moving target is a lot harder than knifing someone who isn't aware of your presence & just standing there!

I love prone, that's awesome, but yeah, it should have a disadvantage, because going prone requires one to setup to aim, nobody can stop drop and go prone and shoot someone in a second or two, it takes time to position yourself on the ground! 3 seconds of horrible aiming would be fair, that way people don't abuse the position..

Nevertheless, once you are pone, your accuracy should go up substantially, because prone is the best aiming position of all, not to mention it will provide cover! And in real war games, cover is very important! I love the crawling under the tree scene, that was very nice!

I like nice touches, and the more realistic they make this game the better! I like that the sniper was taking people out in one shot, with body blows, because let's face it, a single shot from a 30-30 is going to do a hell of a lot more damage than .223 round, so it should be very deadly with even a body blow... (Though sometimes he had to use 2 shots to kill)

Bad Company 2 had sniper all messed up, you could literally aim at someone heads perfectly, hit and they still lived to tell the tale, I'm sorry but a shot to the head, should always make them either (a fall down unconscious) or (b, just die)...

Since an unconscious soldier is more or less a dead soldier, or soon to be, they should just make shots to the head an auto-kill... I don't mind dying in the game, I just want accurate shooting results! I have shot someone 4 times with a 12 gauge point blank and they still killed me, and yes my aim was good enough to land 4 actual hits!

There is a lot I'd like to see change, but one thing that I did notice has changed is, they toned down the blood splatter, and that's awesome! I hated COD for the one fact that visual was impaired greatly when you are taking a hit or have taken a hit... If they got that correct in BF3 I will love the game A WHOLE LOT MORE!

I don't like it when they give soldiers armor, it make game play a whole lot harder when 4 armored medics are working together as a team! You pretty much have to lay down a lot of explosives on them or you will get owned fast...
