Cpu misshap i5 760

Thread Starter
Made a little mistake when installing my new gtx 570....
I had to unplug the pump of the H50 to install the card and forgot to plug it back in.

The cpu read 99c so I turned it off. It was on for a good 5 to 10 mins.

Do you think I did any irreversable harm to the cpu or mobo?

Nah, it takes a lot more than that to do any significant damage.

It was most likely throttling the hell out of itself for those 5-10 minutes.

It's fine.

+1 my 870 ran a bit higher than that and shut off twice on me before I realized my water pump wasn't running. My 870 has been running great since overclocked at 4Ghz no problems.

It's a coincidence. Recheck all your settings and try again.
