Could you tell me what your temps are like with the 2x zotacs? I see that you have the 2x pci-e1x spaces on your mobo and it's a pretty tight fit.

It's a VERY tight fit. In fact, the heatsink/fan screws on the bottom GTX 480 is touching the fan shroud on the top GTX 480.

Here are a couple of pictures: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jklimek...7627127261703/

I'm not sure how safe that is... Do you think it's worth removing the fan shroud on the top GTX 480 so that the bottom GTX 480 isn't touching it?

EDIT: I've just run a few tests before I head off to bed:

Heaven 2.5 benchmarks:

1920x1200, No Anti-aliasing: Scores: ~2079
1920x1200, 4xAA: Scores: ~1712

GPU temps:
GPU1: 68C - 93C (max)
GPU2: 47C - 77C (max)

How does that look?

If you go to test.hwbot.org they have a beta HW comparison engine, you can get an incredable amout of data from that.

Yea temps are about what I expected. Your scores are right on. The thing is if you remove the shroud the airflow will go out in random instead of forced down.

It's a problem with 3 slot coolers (both VF3000 and accelero suffer from it). If your mobo doesn't have 3 pci-e slots and only 2 there's only 2 spaces between the slots so you get this super tight fit. Alone the card works perfect but when you stick it in sli you get this super high temp on the stuck card.

How dangerous are my temps? (ie. the 93 C card)

Should I be worried?

(Can I do anything to lower my temp? I'm guessing I would need to replace the heatsink/fan on the top card with a 2-slot cooler of some kind? I've never done that before on a GPU)
