I just got the game.

All lem's cfg file does is make the game hang on the level loading screen for me. Tried the high cfg, obviously. Without it the game loads fine, but it's got that awful texture blurring, even after stringing together all those launch parameters through Steam's launch options.

Any ideas?

e: Medium cfg seems to work...but the screen is still smeared with crap when I move around. Surely this can't be considered acceptable?

Also, having done nothing, the game starts me off at 1080p x 3 and seems to work just fine in Surround, which obviously means SLI mode. I thought SLI doesn't work with id 5 yet...?

Here's mine, and SLI doesn't work from what I've heard(And tested myself).
Anyhow, I'm running this fine with 60fps 24/7

New AMD drivers definitely improved something, I can play it all "fixed" with good frames.

Gunplay is old school like id's games should be, And id still make the best shotgun sounds

Graphics are good, A lot of the texture is from 2006, I dont care much about graphics but others do, Also i noticed texture corruption where the kong kola was on a part of the world texture but it will reload after your far from it

Would like the mod tools to get released

Well SLI is working here, I mean all the GPUs are engaged and showing the same GPU usage graphs.

Anyway, the screen is still all smeared when I move around. Using the BF3 beta drivers too. Don't know *** is going on.

The CFG seems to work in that my vRAM usage changes, but the FPS still doesn't go above 60 even though I set it to 120.

Sigh, seems I wasted money until this gets officially fixed.

e: Here is what has worked for me BIG TIME in 1080p mode:

http://www.geforce.com/News/articles...-simple-tweaks

The top step there about forcing improved textures.

At 1080px3 though, the side monitors show all the pop in so it gets ruined if I try that. Now off to try step 2 listed in that URL.

e2: Yup, major improvement again using this command in cfg: "vt_maxPPF 16".

**** looks awesome now.

Tried the new drivers from AMD and its definitely an improvement but I'm now noticing a green tinge to everything in that first gang hideout.

I'm pretty sure its the game's lighting design: it does that for me too. When you first enter the dark room on some levels, the screen fills with green hues, the second you step into the light again, it turns golden-brownish... First time I see that in the game, looks very cool and adds to the atmosphere IMO.

I'm pretty it wasn't that green before these latest drivers in fact i'm totally sure because I would have noticed. Its not subtle and doesn't seem like any sort of lighting effect. Every dark corner is green as opposed to black. The small part of the rest of the game i've seen is fine though.

Hmmm... Maybe it's just isn't working as intended with beta? Because I could swear it looks like a game feature to me, there are real-time color transitions in certain places, when dark - to green, when well lit - to brown. When I move around I can see those transitions real time...

I load the game everything looks good but then it starts freezing every couple of seconds... it's fluid for 5 seconds then locks up for 1 second (but the sound does not lock up). I've tried 11.9 drivers, BF3 beta drivers, rage optimized drivers (every time using driver sweeper to completely remove drivers).

I've also tried using BF3 drivers + copying the atiloxxx.dll (something like that) file in rage directory. or even in the WOW64 directory. I've also created the cache folders, and have tried several rageconfig.cfg settings. always does the same, game looks wicked but no matter what I'm doing the graphics freeze. I run BF3 beta with no problems, and many other games with no problems.

Could someone please point me in the right direction?

disregard the part about config:

http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php...rd-game-fixed/

in short only fix(right textures, no stutter) for me: win7 11.9 or older driver(11.6) (AI off for 11.9)

I get 20fps though, unplayable.
