Finally getting into this game, it's an epic shooter, wing-sticks are soooo awesome.
It's so fast paced, death match would have been cool...
Unlike other shooters, I find myself swapping through weapons constantly, soo many ways to kill
post #983 of 1166
haha yeah i constantly swap between wepaons durings a battle, but i always favour the wing-stick as my quick attack weapon. especially when you have the schematic to make 15 at a time, will never run out.

Ok now that the game has been out for a bit.

1. Is it worth it for a FPS?
2. Is it true you can't adjust graphic settings?
3. Is DX11 enabled on RAGE?
4. I'm big on what ID has done in the past...does RAGE live up to it?
5. What kind of VRAM is this game pumping?
6. Anyone running a GTX 580 on it and how is it?
7. Are there any bugs still plauging this game?
8. Did you try Deus Ex Human Revolution and if you did which is better?

Thanks in advance for anyone who replies. I was running through the pages here, sounds like it's a mixed bag of opinions.

1. Is it worth it for a FPS? Yes, best FPS feel I've felt in ages.
2. Is it true you can't adjust graphic settings? No, there are settings, albeit not that much but they recently added more.
3. Is DX11 enabled on RAGE? Rage uses OpenGL!!!!
4. I'm big on what ID has done in the past...does RAGE live up to it? I think if you like ID Shooters, this game is right up your alley. That's my background and I love it.
5. What kind of VRAM is this game pumping? Unsure
6. Anyone running a GTX 580 on it and how is it? Generally 60 fps, but there are parts that it dips as low as 30 for me ( with all bells and whistles @ 1920x1200 ). I have a custom config file so I am unsure if its a fault of my own. I do hear that fan get pretty loud in some locations.
7. Are there any bugs still plauging this game? A few, but not many in my experience.
8. Did you try Deus Ex Human Revolution and if you did which is better? I played only 4 hours of Deus Ex so far, but I didn't get very into it. I hear it picks up, but I am already over 30 hours for Rage because the game play gets you in right away.

Thanks in advance for anyone who replies. I was running through the pages here, sounds like it's a mixed bag of opinions.
I am a biased ID fan, and I did make this thread, so you may take this with a grain of salt.
