TJ07 Build inspired by recent surgery AKA Project: Under the Knife

To start, I was just planning on taking my old rig out of the 800D and putting in the TJ.

But after years of abdominal pain and ER visits every 4-6 months i finally found out last friday (in the ER again) that it was a galbladder problem.

To make a long story short, 6 days later im on the couch with 4 stiched up wounds in my stomach and 1 less gallbladder in my body and a first time work log to write up!!

---- BUILD LOG ACTUALLY STARTS HERE ----

Interior back from powder coating and new Koolance Bay Res

A few fittings and the EK Chipset block for the M4E

Reverse ATX modding and Window Cutting

New SLI 470's and AX850 are on there way!!

So as far as hardware goes I will be using the same stuff in my sig but slight changes to the cooling system.

I will be doing the reverse ATX mod to the case as well as powder coating the entire inside of the case black.

Items that have been ordered or Arrived:

-Black Windowed TJ07
-Interior of the case powder coated flat black
-Koolance 402x2 dual bay res
-swapping out the the EVGA 470 for 2 ASUS 470's
-2x MCP355's
-5x AP-14's waiting to have the fan blades painted white
-2x AP-13's same as above
-8" white led strip for top of case for accent lighting
-15" white led strip for illuminating the mesh grill in front of the radiator
-15' White primoflex tubing
-about 150 different screws, washers, nuts and spacers from MDCP-X (all black of course)

I will be getting new smoked acrylic cut for both windows, yes, both windows. i will be copying the left window and making a matching one on the right and matching acrylic top insert unless i decide to go with the murder mod top that is available on MDPC-X

Now since I just got out of surgery a few hours ago Im going to be staying at my parents house for the night so while i can see the amazing interior powdered coated black and all the rest pf the goodies that have arrived, you will have to wait til i get home tomorrow and post pics

Glad to hear you got everything sorted then!

I think the best thing you can do, and what I am doing, is look through the many awe inspiring TJ07 logs on the forums and highlight anything you see that you would like to have in yours, be it a mod or positioning of hardware etc.

Looks good though, I'm sub'd

Yeah. In the last week since I found out I was gonna be having a few weeks off work I have looked at about 10 different TJ builds and taking a little bit from each of them.
I really excited about the inverted atx mod so I can have the right side window and the all black color theme with white accents

few more pieces ordered today....

Full cover block for the Maximus IV Extreme..... board runs super cool as it is but i have always wanted a full cover chipset block and this is the first mobo i have ever had that they make one for so I just had to get it for the bling factor

to save money i'm using 1/2 barb fittings but decided to go with a set of koolance quick disconnects that will have the male fitting pass through a pci-e bracket and lock down using the nut and a washer then when i want to drain of fill the loop i will just tilt the case onto its face and connect the female quick disconnect with a piece of tubing and a funnel that will thread into a g1/4 female fitting

Just picked up an acrylic side window in smoked grey for the back side of the build as well as a piece of clear and a piece of smoked acrylic for the top window. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go clear or smoked so I got 1 of each!!

Also got a piece if white acrylic to make a custom lighted mid plate for the case as well
Should look really nice with the 15" white led light bar that will be placed below it to give the panel a nice glow and put some light down on the lower mesh

I'll post pics of the acrylic when I get home and as soon as my deliveries from mdpc-x, performance pcs, and frozen show up Thursday and Friday!!!!!

Great place! All acrylic cut to size for under $30

Here's a few pictures of the acrylic I had cut today.

First you can see the clear and smoked top choices I got.

Then you can see the smoked side panel under the original panel

And third you can see the white mid plate section that I tested under a lamp and let's the perfect amount of light through to have a nice glow

And the second pic shows how transparent the smoked color is
