TJ07 Build inspired by recent surgery AKA Project: Under the Knife - Page 2

Dude you have good idea's, apart from the window, where else is that acrylic going to go? Are you making an illuminated fake floor?

I hope so, because I want to do one of those myself

Apologies if you already said where its going and I missed it though

I'm going to do either smoked or clear acrylic for the top.
Revere atx mod so there fill be a right side clear window and a left side dark smoked window
Yeah the floor will be illuminated white acrylic by using a 15" led strip underneath
Then I have a few other prices if smoked acrylic that i might use as a divider to go behind the 5.25 bays just not sure how I want to go about that yet

big update today! I was feeling good enough to start hacking up the case!!

First in the pics you can see the steps I took to do the reverse ATX mod! I just put in a few screws and rivets for now to hold everything together for a few more days till my black screws and rivets arrive from MDPC-X

next I got the blue tape and and started to tape up and cut out the window in the back side panel which will now be the main window panel. after mocking up the windows i might have to go out and get another smoked window cut!! I really like the way it looks aganist the black case. Its a little darker than it looks in the pictures but still clear enough to see through. Almost perfect!!!

now all thats left its attempt to put the bevel and screw holes on the edge of the dark window and tap some holes in the side panel so i can screw down the clear window

EDIT: Just realized when i got the acrylic cut i did get 2 windows cut in the smoke color so i can black out the main window now too!!!!
