Overclocking-Afraid Im going to kill something

Hello there! Long time semi-overclocker, but I wanna get a bit more serious. I have a Phenom II X3 720 currently clocked at 3.6 Ghz with the 4th core unlocked, and it's stable. However, two quick questions...

Does anyone know of a 4th core being unlocked can actually KILL performance?

I have a biostar TA790GXE 128M. So far, it's a wonderful motherboard. Problem is, I don't wanna murder it. As the processor sits right now (x4 @ 3.6 Ghz), it HWmonitor is reporting a TDP of ~148 watts, 8 more then the board is rated for. Couple that with this mobo having no MosFET heatsink...I don't want something to go boom on me. Anyone think it will?

Also, my CPU-Z validation....

Anyone have any tips to getting this chip to 4 Ghz...three or four cores. Having the 4th core enabled doesn't seem to hurt overclocking at all...

if the 4th core is bad, then it will slow down the pc even when oc'd
whatever calcs it gets wrong will need to be redone with another core

try unlocking the 4th core and set it to stock speeds @1.4v
if it fails prime95 on core 3 then it is definately bad

what cooler do you have?

looks like a 6+2 board, go to town with the oc

just watch the temps, keep it under 62c, aim for around 55c

This is a 4+2 phase board. As you are using an x4 and watercooling there is likely no airflow to any motherboard components. I definitely recommend addressing the cooling issue.
