Backup advice

Thread Starter
So, I have 2 drives (1 ssd, 1 hdd) I'd like to back up separately on the same partition of a third hdd (non-raid, will be used solely as a back-up until I run out of room on my other hdd). Are there any programs/methods I can use to go about this (I guess to produce an image I can restore directly to a similar set-up, i.e. ssd +hdd but with 2 separate backups)? I'm sorry if this question sounds rudimentary or pathetic, but I've done some googling and I can;t seem to find a good, current consensus. If anything, let me know what you personally do for back-up.

(Can the windows system image work in this capacity?)

I have 300 Gbs taken up on my main HDD and I use Windows Backup utility and backup onto another HDD and it works just fine.

I would recommend using it since it's free and does an image and a backup.
