hey guys, im just about to order my brother's new pc, but then one thing struck my mind. it was that in like 2 months or so, i will upgrade to 3 gtx 580 3gb models, so why not give my old 6970's to my brother and buy the 580s now?? will this be a good idea?? and imagine if i buy the 580s, will my cpu be a bottleneck at stock speed?? if yes, will it still be if I OC it to 4000mhz??
please answer fast!!! thanks

I'm pretty sure you'll experience some bottleneck. If you don't want to worry about that sort of thing...you either push your CPU to the limit or hold back on the GPU power you want. I'm no expert when it comes to knowing what required overclock you need with the specified GPU setup you want it to go with...but I've experience first hand on what a bottleneck feels like...

E6750 @ 3.8Ghz wasn't enough to push my GTX 275 SLI setup
i7 920 @ 4.3Ghz upgrade significantly increased my GTX 275 SLI performance
