I bought a deathadder a few weeks ago and its an excellent mouse for fps.
I play Cs:s with it and imo its better then mx518 which I own, and it seems better than steelseries ikari, which my brother has.
My choice in order would be:
1st Deathadder
2nd Ikari
3rd Mx518
and the other I cannot comment on as I've never used them or even read reviews about them.

For me, MX518 (or the new replacement, G400). Really great mouse.

I'm a fingertip gripper and I use a deathadder and like it a lot. I don't think the MX518 would be good for a claw/fingertip grip.

Logitech G500
I've had the Deathadder and currently have the MX518 and for me the MX518 is the best out of the two for a couple of reasons. Firstly the MX518 is alot cheaper than the Deathadder and to be honest the Deathadder really doesn't add anything for the premium that you pay. Infact the MX518 build quality is a lot better than the Deathadder as proven by my Deathadder falling to pieces after a years worth of use while my MX518 is still going strong after a year. As far as sensors go they both have excellent sensors and will not let you down. As for the other mice in the poll I have no idea as I've never even held one let alone used them.

I don't know why so many people are recommending laser mice. There should be no reason to get a mouse with acceleration when you don't have to. Avoid the 9500 sensor altogether, which means no G5, G500, or G700. Every mouse nowadays (except the mico on the list) has fancy buttons and stuff. They don't mean anything in terms of quality or performance.

First, determine what grip your using. The deathadder is a palm grip while mico, EC2 are more claw grip mice. I would narrow the mice list down to these mice, based on sensor performance:
Deathadder (high LOD, but can be lowered with new mousefeet or magic tape fix)
Mx518 (has some angle snapping, which isn't a bad thing)
Zowie EC1/EC2 (EC2 is a smaller variant, but both are high quality mice)
Zowie Mico (claw grip, small, no fancy macro buttons, but it is a top notch mouse)

I'm using a Razer DeathAdder on a Goliathus control pad and it works flawlessly.

The deathadder can be used for finger/claw grip, because that's what I use it for, but it is on the large side. Any larger and I'd say palm grip only. Maybe OP should look into the CM Storm Spawn?
