Ok thank you I will use that board in my build. Just to clarify I don't need any other parts or fans I'd be willing to push the budget a little for some more cooling or anything else I might need.

Case:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146067 NZXT Phantom
Mobo:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813131705R Asus P8p67
Cpu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072 Intel i5 2500k
Cpu Cooler:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065 Cooler Master 212+
Gpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102945 x2 sapphire 6950 2gb
Ram:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231428G.Skill 1600 8gb
Psu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139016 Corsair AX 750 W
Monitor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236049Asus 24"
Disc drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827135204 Asus 24x DVD burner
Hard Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E168221365331tb 7200 rpm WD caviar black

This setup may have sli/crossfire but im still deciding on what I want in the gpu department.

Update: I have changed the monitor to a 24" and also the mobo, gpu, cpu, and the cpu cooler
Update 2:Changed the psu to a corsair ax750 instead of the hx750.
Update 3: Decided to throw $200 more into the budget in favor of getting slightly better parts I'm thinking of making the budget even higher.
Update 4: added disc drive and HD

My current cart stands at $1576 with shipping.
Two things I would change the case to the Corsair 600t, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811139007 I currently have the 600t, and have gotten to build a friends pc that just had to have the phantom, so I have experience with it also. The phantom looks cool, but it doesn't have ample room for wiring and also not as much airflow in my opinion. I don't have the mesh sided for the 600t but it still has better airflow than the phantom, and with the mesh sided you can get an additional 4 fans.

And the second the cooler, if you plan to OC I would go with the Noctua NH-D14, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...608018&Tpk=d14 its review is a little better, the 212+ is good for the price don't get me wrong but if you want the best in air cooling right now id go d14. Here is a review reviewing them both http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...lermaster.html as you can see they are both spectacular at keeping the cpu cool but the noctua does better, but comes with a higher price tag as well.

Good luck man I am in the process of building another comp also, so I have done a lot of research.

if u r willing to push ur budget then invest in better cpu cooler...
or get i7 2600k instead of i5 2500k...the 2600k will last u longer and will not bottleneck future cards for quite sometime to come as it has more processing power needed to feed multiple gpu's....
so u would be better with i7 2600k...well thats what i think if u have the budget.....

I will keep the current cooler I have picked out I may upgrade to the D14 down the road but as of now ill stay with the 212+. As for the case I have no problem with changing from the phantom but I don't like the corsair at all it also seems the corsair is loud and out of the box cooling isn't very good.

I will stay with the 2500k for now I can't stretch my budget that much.

couple $ can upgrade the fans and the original 600t wasn't the best with cooling but with the mesh side panel its great ask M3thodAngel he has it and loves it, talked me out of getting the haf 932

If your rig is for gaming then the 2500k is fine, you don't need the threading inside of games they don't use it. If you do a lot of video editing then you should spend the extra $ on the 2600k for the hyperthreading

I will be staying with the 2500k I will do minor editing every so often but nothing that warrants the 2600k a purchase.
Edit: also it seems you put some of what you were trying to say in a quote

Just noticed I posted inside the quotes sorry, but yea minor editing won't warrant the 2600k, even though I would probably go 2500k myself, if I have the extra money I would go 2600k just to say I have it lol

Yea I guess ill stay with the nzxt phantom unless someone else suggests another case. I just wish they made a black with red trim version so it would match my parts since they are all black except my ram .
