v7 GPU folding

Thread Starter

Have a 5870 (seems to be working ok) and a 8800gts that's not folding with v7, in truth I've never been able to get that 8800 gts (266.58 drivers) to fold properly (with any client).

Also have my cpu folding in smp, dont think that would matter for my gpu folding.

There a flag I'm missing or something? any ideas appreciated.

Mixed GPU folding is currently not supported very well in v7 they are supposed to have it fixed in the next release.

You could try this. Remove the slot for the 8800GTS in v7, and leave it only for the AMD.

Then, download this client:
http://www.stanford.edu/~friedrim/Fo...GPU_XP-641.zip

After extracting the file to a location (say, C> Program Files (x86)> Folding> GPU3), create a shortcut of the .exe file. Rightclick the shortcut and go to Properties.

At the end of the "Target" field, add a space, and then the following:
-gpu 1 -forcegpu nvidia_g80

See if it'll Fold then.

Getting an 'unstable machine' error, grr this card just really doesnt want to fold.

266.58 drivers, (using it for phsyx as well) not sure if newer drivers will hinder that.
