I'm guessing even lower than that tbh, cache =/= speed. I'd say it is like 15-20% tops.

Looks good, but will be way too expensive for 90% of people out there. In order to overclock, you have to buy a 6 core processor, which will probably be around the $600 if we are lucky. On top of that is a $300 motherboard and a $150-200 quad channel memory kit. Ouch.

Then im going to get it wet, turn it up as high as it will go and fold it 24/7.

Exactly, #4)most people don't spend over $400 on a processor let alone a computer.

Even if the article is fake...it's pretty damn easy to determine what kind of performance SB-E will bring considering that it is the same as SB with added cores.
-add more cores
-make another new chipset which only works with SB-E
-profit

Keep in mind they expect you to buy $$$ an APU for their mainstream desktop market. What does that tell you? Count on buying big blue.
Cache does not determine performance.
You expect the mainstream users to be buying 990x CPU's for browsing, facebook, email and streaming video? It tells me that they know how to sell a cheap CPU while giving it decent graphics horsepower for a increasing number of applications that benefit from something more than Intel's excuse of a IGP.
An APU is more than enough for the mainstream desktop market.

On here, a lot of people. Folding is huge on here and that is enough to drive most people to want all the power they can afford. I have over 500 hours of home video that I am in the process of converting from 8mm/VHS to DVD/Blu-Ray, I could always use the extra power for that as well. I dabble in 3D modeling/rendering also, the more power the better again. Not everyone sits around and plays games all day and nothing else.

Ummmm sandybridge is just as fast or faster then the 990x in most applications. I don't understand your reasoning.
