Watercooled: GTX 480 vs 570 - Page 3

I guess the 480 is overpriced even though I spent well over $500 on one last year. THE 480 underwater would be a good choice, the extra vram, ROPs, and it loves voltage. With water your worries about heat will be nothing at all.

If your willing to sacrifice a little performance and have a micro center locally you could get a gigabyte gtx470 soc for $200 after mail-in.

Just buy a 480 off of EVGA's B-stock for $220 That'll save you a hundred bucks at the least...

I'll even link it for yah http://www.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp?switch=20

Hope that helped,

Thread Starter
I ended up getting a GTX 480 super overclock from the marketplace forum. It has a serial warranty for another couple years, so I went for it. Also, the newegg page says it has 12+4 power phases instead of the reference 6+2. So I hope it turns out good.
