Finalizing Build - Last Minute Suggestions/Evaluations - Thanks OCN

Thread Starter

After rebates, coupons, discounts, shipping, etc - the total comes out to be around: $745

Keep in mind that I am a first time builder and am on a tight budget of $750.

Any suggestions? Any compatibility issues?

I am reading that my memory, which is 1600, is compatible with my motherboard and processor. However, on the motherboard information, it has a O.C next to 1600. What does this mean? Will it be compatible? Are there any complex changes I need to make to make it compatible?

I won't be overclocking. I'll be using this as a gaming build.

Thanks!

Technically, you're overclocking your RAM if you run it faster than 1333. But there's only one small setting in the BIOS that you have to change, and it takes no more than 10 seconds. It's nothing to worry about.

Well for the same cost as that WD you can get a 1tb spinpoint F3
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...spinpoint%20f3

PSU wise there's currently a great deal on Antec 750 TP for $70 AR.

I'm not too happy with OCZ PSU's in general, so if you need something at the $50 point AR, go with this XFX 550W instead.

If you're a student, you can get win 7 pro for $30 here (legal full retail copy from MS)

If you've got a business or have a friend/family member with one, newegg business has a $50 off on any order over $250 using promo code ENT50.
