Need info on cables and wires for HTPC. - Page 3

I would be using this HTPC in combination with my Home Theater setup, which includes a A/V receiver, there are 6 in / 2 out HDMI ports, so this way i have 6 HDMI ports hence i would not require a HDMI splitter, I could use these sources from different media i.e. 1 HDMI from XBOX, 1 from DishTV receiver, 1 from the projector, 1 BluRay player and 1 from HTPC plug them into the A/V receiver. Out of the two out i could one HDMI to the LCD.

But i am still not sure, if i would require two HDMI cables from HTPC one going out from the graphic card for video and second from the Sound Card for hi-def audio going to my A/V receiver??
Please guide.
What is a good 7.1 dedicated sound card??

I have not seen a single dedicated sound card yet with HDMI port. Not even with the top of the line ASUS or Azuntech's.
I was planning to use this sound card..
But again, they dont have an hdmi port.

So should i drop the idea of going with a dedicated soundcard, instead rely on HDMI sound from the Graphic Card?
Would the A/V receiver take care of all the sound inputs for conversions and upconverstions?

CLARO seems like a good card, but... I own Omega Striker HT 7.1 and not too happy with it. It only produces 24bit in windows 7 x86, if you are running x64you only get 16bit sound. Omega is known for crappy drivers, so do a little research before buying it, make sure you get what you pay for. I paid $95 and now I'm kicking myself in the head because I could have Xonar series from ASUS for that amount and would have full 24bit sound.
