I might give MW3 a try. But that depends on whether or not I even have any money left over.

Cod4 is DX9, Cod5 is DX9, Cod6-MW2 is DX9, cod7-Black ops is DX9
Cod 1+2 were DX9 too i think.

DX9 DX9 DX9.....

Name 1 thing COd4 didnt have that MW2 had apart for more kill streaks + reskinned weapons.

The Witcher 2 is DX9. It's not the graphical API that is the problem it's the gameplay.

Im just saying, they didnt even bother using a different API. And its been a few years already.

And you need to know that the original engine is 12 years old now, it really is time to move on!
The engine has clearly changed. It's not exactly as it was and it still functions perfectly well.

Complaining that it's still using the same engine is stupid, complaining it's still using the same version of DirectX, are you serious? Who cares? It doesn't matter!

It does matter, unless you like to bend over for activision and pay for the same old garbage over and over again.

The above statement is as absurd as saying that every DX9 game is an FPS and looks exactly like CoD because it is DX9. I am tempted to wonder if you even know what DX9 is...

I don't this post deserves to be glorified with a response but I'll do it anyway...

The fact that something uses the same API does not in anyway reflect expected 'quality' and market performance. Learn to separate matters, please. If it did, mario and pokemon wouldn't sell a thing.

From your complaints that it is DirectX9 (and that is what your statement suggests is the problem), I can safely assume that you have never played a DX9 game which was good. Sure, forget about the dozens of DX9 games that exist.

If CoD had made a sudden jump to make MW2 DX10, I doubt it would have in anyway helped their cause. Remember that PC is not the only platform in existence and they make most of their money (nowadays anyway) with the CoD series from the consoles. Comparing DX10 and DX9 is a joke because though there were evident differences, it is not worth cramming the re-writing of an engine into 1 yr just to release it with bugs.

Have you even seen the lighting quality, etc. in MW to BlackOps? I dare say they produced one of the best looking DX9 games ever. Yes, they recycled a lot and just modified textures and storylines between titles but don't try to bash it based on the looks.

It makes sense to complain about the apparent "lack of innovation", but not the fact that it uses Dx9. Halo 2 was marketed as a DX10 game. It looked terrible. The Witcher is a DX9 game and looks amazing.

Oh, and for the record, Texture != API. The fact that a game is DX11 doesn't mean it will have amazing high res textures. That's the developer's choice.

I don't mean to insult or offend you but you know, it doesn't hurt to stop and think sometimes before you post.

No, I'm not perfect and I make posts without thinking through them thoroughly at first as well. But don't try to defend a flawed viewpoint.

You see people like you is the reason for all the cod hate. You just hand companies money for ****ty product and encourage them to not be innovative and come up with a quality game. Cod could have mad a better engine by now with even destruction being it based on small map and less people than bf series it could have been something. But why should they do that when they know you will be crying to your parents to get you the new cod game because all your friends are going to get it.

What upsets me the most about cod series is Infinity Ward really worked hard and make cod4 amazing, after which Activision fired everyone at IW...it's never been quite the same....

The end of the trailer just blew me away lol, "pre-order now for xbox 360". I had it running in the background so it was just so random to me how it switched.
