when u manually add the .exe your adding the wrong .exe
thats why nothing is happening
look under starcraft ii\versions\basexxxxxx\sc2.exe

+1 reps to you both!
That is exactly what my problem was... All these updates link to the SC2.exe which was the latest base subfolder...

I found this out by running Starcraft 2, minimizing it, opening task manager, then right clicking on SC2.exe and 'open file location' to see where this one file was... I still had to use 'Override any Application Settings' for it to work... I did all this while u posted that last link!

I am able to get up to 8x CSAA but right when I turn it up to just 8x, the performance drops to like a third... just unplayable... seems VRAM limiting at that point for me. Then again, I play at 1080p and only have the 1.5 GB cards...
I really doubt i'd notice much difference past 4XAA anyways but it's an amazing difference in this strategy game with AA!

Thanks again!

when sc2 first came out, this problem didn't exist
it worked fine linking it to the .exe we thought all worked
I kept blaming drivers for the problem after an update, that was not the case

when u enable AA and press ctrl+alt+f to see your fps, is the fps text kinda messed up (not clear) only happens when I enable AA

if only sc2 had better gpu utilization then the performance hit wouldn't be that bad

I dont like to use too much AA if any in SC2 because it makes the minimap a little to blurry .
