how much improvement will i see going from i3 3.75ghz to amd phenom x4 965?

switching from i3 3.75ghz to amd phenom 965
and new motherboard GIGABYTE AM3 GA-880GMA-UD2H? is that good?
things i already have
8GB 1333MHZ
Sapphire 6870
Corsair 750hx
H55M-UD2H motherboard
22inch monitor
i3 was old CPU got for free from a friend including motherboard

games i play
COD MW 2
Combat arms
AVA
APB reloaded
DIRT 3
duke nukem

how much fps should i expect on COD MW 2?
or combat arms?

I don't have any idea how much difference the amount of cores makes for those games, but for the most part I wouldn't expect much difference. The technology for the 965 is a couple years old, slightly older than the i3. You can't expect overwhelming improvements just because the Phenom II has four cores.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother upgrading to AM3. You'd be better off switching to Sandy Bridge or waiting to see what AMD puts out later this year.

See, like HeadlessKnight posted, it's not even an upgrade unless you do things that use four cores. I definitely wouldn't change anything now.
