Hey Guys

My mate wants me to build him a computer. Hes already got a case, HDD, DVD drive.

Can you recommend a build.? Need the following.
- Motherboard

- Processor
- Graphics Card
- PSU

He wants in intel build. He wants to play Black Ops and some newer games (Not a hard out gamer). Its an ATX case.

Thanks in advance

At $400 you'll need to go i3 to start. I'm building a budget build for a friend and here's what I've got so far:

i3-2100 (

)

MSI H67MA-E35( )

Generic Crucial RAM( )

Those come out to $243.07 combined. As it's not a gaming build, I'll be using integrated graphics for it. You have quite a bit of wiggle room there, including getting a better motherboard, better RAM, and possibly a dedicated graphics card, especially if you shop around. That being said, personally, I'd try to talk him into getting a bigger budget for this.

- Motherboard
Cheap lga 1155 motherboard, any.
- Ram
4gb of ddr3 1333 or 1600, ram cost almost nothing now...
- Processor
i5 2300/2400/2500, a sandy bridge non-K quad core.
- Graphics Card
GTX 460 1gb
GTX 560 Ti
HD 6870
HD 6950
Which ever fit the budget (the 460 is the weakest, and is old, take it last if possible).
- PSU
550 watts is all you need, around 50$ can get you something correct.

Try talking your friend into AMD. You can get a quad core and motherboard for $100.
