Battery Maintenance

Thread Starter
I have a hp laptop. I know the laptop battery will eventually die out, but what is the best way to keep it healthy? Should I unplug the ac charger when the battery is charged to 100%? Use the battery until it is like 20% then replug the ac charger to charge it to 100% and repeat? Will the laptop stop the charging when the battery are charged to 100% because the battery status in win 7 stops saying charging when the battery are 100% charged.

Yup!..

pull the battery out when its full and on AC.. and try and run it flat before you recharge.

.. my mum and dad have the same laptops, both 2 years old.

Mum runs hers flat and then recharges
Dad plugs in while using it.

Dads laptop battery is Totally SHot, 10 mins from full.
Mums laptop battery lasts a hour or so.
