Ok, so currently Im running this ram

http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=223

at 1.61v 8 8 8 - 24 timings at 1640mhz. Its stock 1.5v and 1333cl7. I want to attempt 1700 or even 1800, is that just a pipe dream? What is the safest I can push 1.5v ram? I have 4 sticks and Im just running two, so I guess if I blow one up I can just replace it

try 1866 9-10-9-28 1.65 volts

also make sure you subtimings are loose

whatever default subtiming are for 1333, add 20 percent for 1866

so if its 5, change it to 6

its its 74 change it to 88-90

apparently this dude got 1800, didnt see this writeup before. Is 1800 on 1333 like rare and unheard of or something? Are there dangers to overheating ram? How can I tell if its too hot? theres no spots to check it in everest or any other programs I use.

just about all ddr 3 can take 1.65 volts, you dont have to worry about heat, unless your room is a hot box and your case has no airflow

Your RAM should not be taken above 1.75V due to PSC ICs but up to that can be fine.
