Atrix v iPhone4 v ??? - Page 3

you should get the atrix. it's probably the best att phone that is currently out. iphone really isn't even worth it. you don't even get 4g with it.

You are the absolute first person I've seen able to tell the difference, much less a significant one, with AT&T HSPA+
Um, other than with data cards, it's relatively new for AT&T phones to be HSPA+ compatible. I think they have 3 currently. It's also in limited markets, and although it'll read H+ on the status bar, it doesn't mean you're actually getting HSPA+. Example, at my grandparents house my data connect card shows H+, yet I know they don't have it there yet. (I asked)

The reality is in the near future HSPA+ will be significantly faster, in more markets. That fact cannot be refuted.

When I have time I'll post ss of my data connect card speeds.

I would disagree that it's the best at&t phone out right now.
I would vote for the inspire or infuse if you can't wait, SG2 if you can.

Personally I agree, specificallycon the Inspire.

Both the Inspire and the Infuse have inferior hardware to the Atrix. Why the recommendations for them over it?

If it helps your decision any, Atrix just got the official gingerbread update. http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-E...erbread-Update My wife and I just upgraded our phones, and I tried an HTC HD7S first, but couldn't stand the awful call quality. Just swapped it for an Atrix last night and loving it so far.

Atrix just got Gingerbread OTA, and speed increases are noticeable. Motorola did a fantastic job smoothing out Blur this time around. No major slowdowns and everything just feels more polished.

But then, at $99 AT&T is gonna release the vanilla Android experience - the Google Nexus S. It should be out by tomorrow, July 24th. You might want to check it out.

PS: Miki, you should have waited lol.

Well, no, because then I'd have to use up my upgrade. I purposely bought it unlocked (actually suspecting it would eventually be released for AT&T) so that I could save that for a better phone in the near future.

But to the OP, if you can't wait and don't want to spend about $500 buying it unlocked, definitely get this over all other options! ^_^

Yeah I'm not a Apple or iPhone "fanboy" but I did get an iPhone4 for a great deal (only reason I got it) and it's been the best phone I've ever had.

I see your strategy. I think you'll best use your upgrade option for a Mango or Ice Cream Sandwich powered device.
