Dominator GT worth it?

Is Corsairs Dominator GT Worth it? Or could I get something of similar or even better performance/reliability at a lower price?

I personally think it is worth it, at least the DHX stuff. You can buy it in a kit that includes the Airflow 2 fan. Then you can get the Airflow Pro dynamic temperature and activity display to add great aesthetics to your build for around $50 more.

Things to note: You must have DHX-Pro compatible Dominator RAM, and an Airflow 2 fan to be able to use the Airflow Pro.

First off, the 2600K only has a dual-channel memory controller, so you should probably be looking for a 2x 4GB kit. Ignore me if you knew that already.

Also, I would say the GTs aren't worth it. Unless you really are on "the pursuit of performance", any good RAM should offer excellent performance for less than half the cost of the Dominator GTs.

Only the old GTs that had Hypers.

I would say so...the Gskill sticks that were the rage for clocking on sandy were the same IC's and were $150 for 4GB. so another 20 bucks for 2GB is a pretty sweet deal!
