Video Camera for live recording.

Hi,

So I bet you are probably wondering why I wuld need a Video Camera for live video streaming. Well, I decided I would try to help my sister who is posting videos of her singing to youtube, and I have a mic that I want to pick up the audio with. That then leaves the fact that I have to record the video and audio live because the mic is usb.

So, I am looking for a video camera that suports either USB streaming, although preferably firewire streaming of the video. I would like the camera to be full 1080p if possible, although I would like to stay under $100 so I could see it being possible that the highest resolution I can get is 720p. In addition, I would like to stay away from webcams as I would like to be able to use it as a normal video camera too. However, if at this pricepoint only webcams are avaliable I would have to make due.

Thanks in advance,

P.s. If I find something befroe someone gives me a sugggestion, I will post it ans see what people think.

Edit: I think I am going to try to convince my dad to allow me to purcahase this webcam. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826105415 It is selling on amazon for $50.(From what is basically there open box department) If anyone has any experience with this camera please let me know.

for what you want in that budget the flip is the only camera you can get and it does not support the ability to do live streaming. i think you are getting ahead of yourself. start with pre-recorded youtube videos and then when she get maybe 100,000 come back and ask about live streaming because that requires some extra software that you have to spend more money on.

lets keep it simple, no need to spend lots of money on her right away what if she gets tired of doing it and doesnt want to make videos then you have all this money invested for nothing lol

start with a cheap video camera in your $100 budget and wait a while and upgrade as she gets more followers. that is the most economical way to do it

To above, I don't need to live streaming only record on my computer live because I already have a mic I might as well do that. I decided because I already have a youtube account(one of my videos has gotten over 1000 views and has only been up for a week, so im pretty happy) and I wanted video editing software anyways. I can purchase Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 11 with an educational discount as I am in high school, so the only thing I would need to record the video live with a difrent audio device is a video camera. So, I decided on the microsoft web cam I posted above. It will allow me to use the mic instead of audio from the camera. This may not provide proffesional quality video but it is better than the webcam on her computer.
