Need a daily use laptop!

So since I'm moving to Taiwan for a year I figured I'd start scouting for a laptop.

What is your maximum budget?

I'm looking for something up to around U$600. I'm willing to spend more if I find it worthy, but no more than U$800.

What country are you in?

Taiwan.

What will be the uses of this laptop?

School work, watching series and light gaming.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?

Nope, any will do.

What screen size do you require?

Nothing specific.

What screen resolution do you require?

Nothing specific.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?

As long as it LOOKS new, I don't care what it is.

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)

I'm not sure what I can realistically expect, to be honest. 8 hours would be optimal, but I'm not sure that's possible.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?

World of Warcraft on minimum, Call of Duty 4 on minimum, maybe League of Legends, Starcraft II.. No need for juicy graphics.

What operating system do you need? (if any)

Windows 7

Is there a certain style of laptop you want?

I DO NOT want it to look like a gaming laptop. I want it to look as classy as possible. Preferably no paint that can rub off with use. I would love it to be aluminum, but as long as it's classy I don't really mind the material.

How much hard drive space do you need?

320GB+

Do you need any special hardware?

A webcam would be nice, but I can purchase one if one doesn't come with the laptop.

Is there anything else we need to know?

I'd really like this to be light. I'm going to be carrying it around all day.

Thanks for the help!

Samsung w/ nVidia GPU

It is tough finding one with a dedicated card in that range.
HP Pavilion

Lenovo Ideapad

Here is your best deal on an I3/I5/I7 laptop. I just bought one for my wife for college.

Any chance I can get a quad core or would one be a lot more expensive? I'm really liking those Lenovo's.

If your willing to spend a hair more, http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/se...computer_store
I helped my friend pick out one of these and he really likes it. There was also a 50 dollar coupon floating around which would bring this right to your budget max.

I read some reviews on the laptops. Am I correct in assuming the Samsung is going to be the best one all-around? Llano has good graphics, but a weak CPU. Sandy bridge is pretty much the same as the older Core i in computing power, but with slightly weaker graphics.

Bump! So far I'm going with the Samsung. Any other suggestions?
