The 6950 Heart Attack .

Thread Starter
So i was just messing around with furmark when i heard. A almighty crack came from my Computer case, Then the screen went blank and the smell of fried electrics came floating out. I quickly pulled the plug from the wall and remove the side cover. Yep my 6950 stuck. So i pulled it out and had a cry as i was fitting my old 8800gt. But i thought what the hell i might as well refit it and cross my fingers.
its still working.
What happened any ideas?

I am running unlock shader bios with 1.2v, 920 and 1400 My temp temp was 71c with the fan set to 50%.

Ive been to scared to test it yet tho.

I'd check other components for defects now such as blown caps or scorch marks.

Also, I'd reflash to your stock BIOS (hopefully you backed it up) and RMA it.

How do you flash your 6950 back to everything original? Sorry for hi-jacking your thread. Just curious
